Cliff-side Oregon Coast Elopement Ceremony

Mikaela and Blake had a beautiful morning elopement at one of my favorite locations on the Oregon Coast! This cliff-side location reminds me of another country, but Oregon has a unique way of doing that. M & B are proof that you can plan and execute a beautiful elopement in less than 4 days! Mikaela reached out to me, unsure of where they wanted to elope and what they were going to wear. I sent them all of my favorite locations that don’t require permits (because we didn’t have time to acquire one), called dress shops to find a shop that might have a sample for sale, and sent them information on where and how to acquire a marriage license! Mikaela was able to find a dress at BHLDN with next day order options, her friend the bouquet, got ingredients for an Pinterest-inspired charcuterie board! A few days later, I packed up the van, and met Mikaela and Blake at 6:00 am for a their beautiful elopement!

Epic Cliff-side Oregon Coast Elopement

After M & B’s elopement ceremony, I left them to get to a different vantage point in order to get landscape shots of them on the cliff! I had to drive to another location, walk through a spider infested and overgrown trail in order to get these shots, but it was totally worth it! I called them and gave them posing and prompts through speaker-phone! In the future I’ll bring walkie talkies, because sometimes service can be spotty. This spot is beyond words! The fact that there are arches/holes in the cliffs underneath the couple and on the neighboring cliff behind the couple is just so surreal! It’s an insanely gorgeous and unique spot. Standing on the cliff edge and seeing the ocean crash against the rock walls is such a unique and powerful view. This is definitely my favorite spot on the Oregon coast and makes for a perfect elopement location due to it’s beauty and the fact that hardly anyone knows about it!

Oregon Coast Elopement: From Cliffs to Forest

After their ceremony and cliff portraits, we drove to another trail area to access the beach! This trail is an awesome spot because it has a gorgeous forest, creek, and bridge to explore on the way to the beach. Once we got to the beach, we took some more time for beach portraits and then M & B popped champagne and enjoyed their pinterest-inspired breakfast picnic!
