Calla and Anthony had an absolutely incredible adventure elopement that spanned from Seattle to Washington’s Mt. Rainier National Park! As the title suggests, they started their day off in a helicopter! This was my and Calla’s first time in a helicopter and oh my gosh, I totally underestimated how cool it would be! It was a tight squeeze and the helicopter itself looked more like a toy replica. The walls were thin, the doors and all the hardware looked so dated and it definitely made me get some nerves! It’s a much more intimate and exciting experience being in the air in one of these than a normal commercial plane! The pilot also did some maneuvers right over the water that felt like a roller coaster and got us all squealing. It was such a cool experience and I’m convinced it’s one of the best ways to explore a beautiful place and something SO cool to do on your elopement day. We set off for a private landing spot on the White River with a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier. We explored the area and Calla and Tony chilled by the river to take in the views by themselves for a bit. C & T were gifted this helicopter flight as their wedding gift and I’m so glad they brought me along to capture the journey. We then hopped back in helicopter and headed towards Seattle to see all the classic sights of downtown, the sound, and the space needle!
After the helicopter flight, we headed to a gorgeous old-growth trail Garrett and I scouted for them a few weeks prior. Calla and Tony shared a super sweet first look and then we explored the forest and took some forest portraits!
We finished off the day up at Mt. Rainier National Park for a sunset hike and ceremony! The light was absolutely gorgeous and Calla and Tony had their entire ceremony to themselves. They exchanged private vows and tears were shed by all parties (well at least me and Calla, lol). C & T brought Dicks burgers and fries, like true Seattleites! The fries were a bit soggy to no ones surprise (lol), but the burgers made it all worth it! Then right as alpenglow was beginning they shared a first dance and then a more goofy and fun second dance in a meadow of wildflowers! It was the perfect end to an absolutely incredible day!
