Sunset Cannon Beach Elopement

Sunset Cannon Beach Elopement

Christyn and Jacob chose to elope at the Oregon Coast! They started off the day getting ready with their families in their respective Airbnb’s and then had the sweetest first look (Jacob was immediately in tears when he saw her) at Rockaway Beach. Then we headed to Ecola State Park for a beautiful forest ceremony. C & J chose to invite their immediate family members to join their day and witness their ceremony. Both were walked down the forest “aisle” by their parents and Christyn’s father officiated their ceremony. The forest was stunning with gorgeous ferns, Sitka Spruce, ferns and birds singing. Then we headed to the Ecola State Park picnic area for a post ceremony celebration. They had amazing german chocolate cake and their family made toasts to honor them.

Then we headed to the forest to explore the Sitka Old Growth and get forest portraits. We were running a little bit behind schedule, but it ended being for the best, because it meant we got to be at the incredible cliff spot for golden hour. This secret cliff overlook is one of my favorite locations for elopements and it was so special to be able to share it with them. With the slight breeze, birds flying by, and the sound of crashing waves, it truly felt like another world. The views and general feeling you get in that spot, truly can’t be beat.

We ended the day at Cannon Beach for blue hour. C & J took off their shoes and ran around the beach with Haystack Rock as their backdrop. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day!
