Sunrise Mt. Rainier Elopement
This gorgeous Mt. Rainier elopement took place on the Sunrise side of Mt. Rainier! Allie and Aidan had an absolutely stunning day with clear skies in early July. We weren’t sure if there would still be snow on the trail when we initially planned their elopement, but much to our surprise the trail was completely melted out and they even had wildflowers!
Allie and Aidan started off their day at their A-frame cabin rental with family present to help get ready. Then they had a super cute first look on the A-frame cabin porch. Before we headed out for their first hike of the day, A & A sat down and wrote out their vows into vow books, which is something I always recommend doing! It’s a great way to set the tone for the day and remind yourself of the words you’re going to be exchanging later in the day. Once they finished up with their vows, we headed out on hike #1 of the day, which took us through a gorgeous forest and ended at a waterfall!
Then we hopped back in the cars to head up the road to the Sunrise Visitor Center! Allie and Aidan wanted to have their ceremony with the mountain in the background, so we headed to a spot we scouted for them earlier that week. A & A exchanged vows and had the entire trail to themselves! The light was just perfect and the scene was stunning to say the least! A slight breeze kept the mosquitoes away too, so we really did luck out with the conditions in every way! After celebrating with a little picnic, we headed back to the cars with stops along the way for portraits and admiring all the little wildflowers on the trail! Overall it was an incredible Mt. Rainier National Park elopement and a day that couldn’t have really gone much more perfect. Congrats Allie and Aidan!
