Cape Kiwanda Elopement and VW Camper Van Couples Session
Cape Kiwanda State Park is located right next to Pacific City. The first time I went to Cape Kiwanda I was actually shocked by the fact that it was so close to the town of Pacific City. The beautiful cliffs are just a short walk on the beach away from the main part of town. It’s the perfect spot of a couple that is looking for rewarding views and a minimal walk from the car. For the higher viewpoints you can hike up the sand dunes, which host some of the more iconic views of Cape Kiwanda.
Jill and Seth met us in their cute 1984 Volkswagon Vanagon with with their cute pup Rooney! There’s something just so charming about a VW campervan and it was so fun to highlight that part of Jill and Seth’s life. We wanted to get some more casual couples photos of them before the elopement, so we went to Cape Lookout State Park to find somewhere to park. It’s worth mentioning that Cape Kiwanda is a super busy place, especially below the sand dunes and in the parking lot. If you want any sort of privacy, it might be a good idea to get ready or have a fun couples session like these two in another location!

After the couples session, we headed to Pacific City and got ready for their styled elopement! We had a blast exploring the rocky cliffs and taking in the beautiful views. Cape Kiwanda is has several beautiful spots elopements and intimate weddings. On a weekend you will be sharing the space with a lot of other visitors, so if you want privacy this particular spot might not be the best. However if you head up the sand dunes, you can often get more privacy and the scenery is so different that it’s definitely worth checking out and considering for your elopement ceremony or portraits!
